Lyrebirds are gorgeous creatures with an unusual traitâthey vocalize like human babies! These aren't the only birds that make unusual sounds, but their cry may be the most troubling to hear if you don't know what it is! Let's take a closer look at the lyrebird and its unique call.
If you have heard your baby crying, sprung from bed, and dashed over the crib only to realize he or she is fast asleep, this is totally normal according to doctors. The phenomenon is sometimes called phantom crying, and if you've caught these nonexistent calls for help from your little one, you aren't crazy.
But this lyrebird's mimicking of a human baby wailing will surely leave you stunned. The bird from Taronga zoo in Australia left the zoo authorities wondering for a short while about the source of the baby cry. Well, they soon realised that the loud screaming sound came from their resident lyrebird, called Echo.

While it's true your baby can cry in the womb, it doesn't make a sound, and it's not something to worry about. The baby's practice cries include imitating the breathing pattern, facial expression, and mouth movements of a baby crying outside of the womb. You shouldn't worry that your baby is in pain.

Why do cats sound like crying babies at night?
Your cat might meow at night because they feel bored, unstimulated, lonely or just want to go outside. If your cat won't stop crying at night even when they have plenty of play time, other causes to consider are thyroid or kidney disease.

Some find it frightening when they hear it in the middle of the night and can't recognize it. If you hear a coyote make this sound, stay away from it unless you are a trained wildlife expert.
